GENERAL PRINCIPLE:
- பொதுவாக dc motor- க்கு stator- லும் rotor- லும் supply கொடுக்கப்படும் ஆனால் இந்த AC induction- ல் stator- க்கு மட்டும் supply கொடுத்தாள் போதும்.ஏன் என்றால் அது induction முறையில் இயங்கக்குடியது.
- அதாவுது transformer-ல் mutual induction-ப் பின்பற்றி இந்த induction இயங்கக்குடியது.
- இந்த முறைகள் இயங்கி electrical energy- ஆக மாற்றுகிறது.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Induction motor- ல் இரண்டு முக்கியமான part- கள் இருக்கின்றன.

STATOR CONSTRUCTION:
- stator ஒரு primary part ஆகும். இது சிலின்ற்றிகள் வடிவில் இருக்கும்.
- squirrel cage and slip ring induction motor-ம் இதே வகை ஆகும்.
ROTOR CONSTRUCTION:
- இரண்டு வகையான rotor கள் உள்ளன.
- squirrel cage rotor
- wound rotor
SQUIREL CAGE ROTOR:
- இந்த வகை 90% அனைத்துinduction motor -லும் பயன்படுகின்றது.
- இது பார் காப்பர் அல்லது alloy metal -களால் இதன் core slot இருக்கும்.
PHASE WOUND ROTOR:
- இந்த வகை 3 phase alternator -களில் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றது.
